Liverpool fans react to three-year anniversary since Spurs humiliation

Liverpool fans have been lauding the remarkable progress made under Jurgen Klopp since October 2017, on the three-year anniversary of a dark day for the Reds.

Klopp has been sensational since becoming Liverpool manager, so rarely making errors and becoming an undisputed club legend.

The German did suffer a low ebb as Reds boss three years ago, however, on a day when his team travelled to Wembley Stadium to face Tottenham in the Premier League.

Liverpool were beaten and humiliated 4-1 by Spurs, with some shocking defending on show and Dejan Lovren finding himself substituted before half-time.

It remains the only time where questions were genuinely being asked of Klopp, but his response to that defeat has been nothing short of astonishing.

In the three years since, Liverpool have grown into England’s best team, and arguably the greatest club side in world football, winning the Champions League, Premier League, Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup.

They have also lost just eight of the 110 league matches played since that Wembley nightmare, with Klopp turning the Reds into an all-conquering force.

On the anniversary of that shocking afternoon in London, these Liverpool fans took to Twitter to hail the progress that has been made since.
