Liverpool fans were left furious at VAR after rivals Manchester City benefitted heavily from it against Wolves.
Pep Guardiola’s side were awarded a penalty, which was missed by Raheem Sterling. VAR then ordered referee Martin Atkinson to allow City to retake the kick due to encroachment into the area.
Sterling stepped up a second time, missed again, but tapped in the rebound. These Liverpool fans weren’t pleased at all…

The penalty was soft for a foul on Riyad Mahrez but there was definitely contact on his heel. The more frustrating thing is the retake of the penalty for encroachment.
That, also, seemed like the correct decision but you can understand why Liverpool fans are so angry.
Whenever the Reds receive any decision in their favour through VAR, the entire country begins to attack them. It’s about time something similar happens to City.
