Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Kai Havertz put in an impressive display during his side’s UEFA Europa League last 32 second leg against FC Porto earlier this week.
The German scored one goal and assisted two as the Bundesliga team coasted into the next stage of the competition.
Havertz, who is valued at £81m by Transfermarkt, has five goals and three assists in the German top-flight this season.
As reported on the Liverpool Echo, the Reds have been linked with a move for the youngster previously and after his display in midweek, many Liverpool fans want to see him playing at Anfield under Jurgen Klopp.
His current deal with Leverkusen lasts until the summer of 2022, meaning that the Reds may have to pay a significant amount of money to secure his signature.
With players like Adam Lallana and Xherdan Shaqiri looking likely to leave, we feel that targeting players like Havertz should be a priority to ensure the squad is strong enough next season.
