Shakhtar Donetsk attacker and Liverpool target Alex Teixeira has suffered an injury setback in a training session with the Ukrainian outfit, reports Artur Petrosyan from Russian outlet Sport-Express.
Twitter: Alex Teixeira pulled his hamstring soon after Liverpool made a bid. This is not a joke. Repeat: this is not a joke. (@arturpetrosyan)

It is quite bizarre considering all of the hamstring injuries that Liverpool are having to deal with at the moment that a player who isn’t even their’s yet somehow has picked up the same injury.

Jurgen Klopp recently described ‘hamstring’ as a ‘sh*t’ word of the season, and it seems that he’s been affected by it once again.

Klopp would have been hoping to add Teixeira straight to his matchday squad if a deal could be struck with Donetsk. However, if this injury news is correct, then Liverpool may have to wait quite a while to see their potential new signing in the famous red shirt.
Liverpool only have two strikers available to them at the moment in Christian Benteke and Roberto Firmino who isn’t a natural striker. The likes of Danny Ings, Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge are all missing through injuries.
