Liverpool and Chelsea are eyeing up a move for Carlisle United youngster Jarrad Branthwaite, according to the Daily Mail.
The 17-year-old centre-back is a highly-rated player at the League Two club and his performances have caught the eye of the Reds.
Branthwaite is expected to leave Carlisle in the January transfer window, generating funds in the process.
He has made 10 appearances this season in total, scoring against Morecambe in the EFL Trophy.

Branthwaite may not be a household name, but it is exciting to hear Liverpool being linked with a young English talent.
The thought of joining the Reds must appeal over Chelsea, especially as the Blues’ transfer ban has now been lifted, likely affording youngsters less first team opportunities at Stamford Bridge.
Liverpool have a great academy for emerging players to flourish in and that will only become a more exciting prospect next season, when the senior players work alongside them at a new training complex in Kirkby.
