The Reds may have ended up winning 2-1 in their Champions League clash, but Klopp was reportedly impressed with Berge.

It is claimed that the Liverpool manager spoke to Berge on Tuesday, saying:

You are an interesting player, a very interesting player.

There have been rumours that Genk could sell Berge in January, which may further spring Klopp into action.

Liverpool were comfortably superior to Genk in their two meetings in Group E, but Berge caught the eye with his performances.

The 21-year-old was a classy presence in the middle of the park, holding his own up against the Reds’ more well-known stars.

The 18-time capped Norway international is certainly a big talent, and in terms of being a long-term acquisition, he could be an exciting capture by Liverpool.

Berge’s contract expires in 2021, so this may be Genk’s chance to earn good money for one of their most prized assets.
