Liverpool have joined rivals Everton in the race to sign Croatian international Domagoj Vida from Besiktas.
Turkish journalist Turgay Demir, as cited on Turkish Football, claims that the two clubs have both lodged bids to sign the player this summer.
Suggestions of a €15 million bid from both clubs are being made, but it is believed that the Turkish side are demanding closer to €20 million.
Vida has impressed at this summer’s World Cup in Russia, sparking suggestions that he could be on the move to the Premier League.

Interest in the 29-year-old is said to be growing, with the defender playing a key role in Croatia’s passage to the quarter-finals.
Everton have been heavily linked with a move for the Croatian. There were even reports suggesting Davy Klaassen could be used in a potential swap deal with Besiktas.
