Liverpool news round-up: March 8th

We’re still buoyant at Read Liverpool HQ following Sunday’s dramatic win over Crystal Palace.

The three points in South London (earned courtesy of Christian Benteke’s penalty which some are still disputing!) just about keeps the Reds in contention for fourth place.

On Thursday night, Manchester United come to Anfield, and the build-up to that eagerly anticipated game is well and truly underway.

The Red Devils lost to West Bromwich Albion at the weekend, so come into the fixture in slightly worse form than Liverpool who have won their last three in the league.

But United have had the Reds’ number over the past couple of years, with under-pressure manager Louis van Gaal winning each of his four Premier League encounters with Liverpool.

There’s news on that, as well as the latest transfer rumours, in our round-up below.

So take a read, and try not to get too excited over the Luis Suarez piece!

matchday.
