Liverpool and Arsenal played out an entertaining 1-1 draw to keep their unbeaten runs going in the league. James Milner scored in the second half, before Alexandre Lacazette equalised eight minutes from time to earn a deserved point for the Gunners
In an even first half, the home team gained the upper hand in the opening exchanges and created chances to cause trouble to the opposition defence. Liverpool came back slowly with chances of their own and Sadio Mane’s goal was wrongly disallowed to keep the game level at half-time.
Arsenal continued their charge in the second half but it was the away team who scored against the run of play. A Mane cross was partially punched away by Bernd Leno, and James Milner was on hand to stroke the ball past the German to give Jurgen Klopp’s men a precious lead.
However, with eight minutes remaining, Alex Iwobi played a cute ball in behind the Liverpool defence for Lacazette to bring it under control and finish expertly past diving Alisson.
On the balance of play, Unai Emery’s men deserved that and it was a fair result after the final whistle. Here’s how the Reds fared at the Emirates:
