Liverpool missed their chance to go back to the top of the table after they were held to a 0-0 draw by Everton in the Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park.
The stalemate keeps Jurgen Klopp’s men a point behind leaders Manchester City, with nine games to go in the season.
Mohamed Salah had the best chance of the first half when he was fed through one-on-one against Jordan Pickford, but the latter made a good save to deny the Egyptian.
Everton tried their best to make it tough for the visitors by making robust tackles and intercepting the crucial through balls.
The best chance of the second half also fell to Salah, whose bad first touch allowed Michael Keane to come back and make a challenge.
Fabinho then had an opportunity following a set-piece routine, but the Brazilian took too much time to finish it.
At the end of the day, it is two points dropped for Liverpool. Here are our player ratings.
