Liverpool Player Ratings: Fulham (A)

Liverpool just managed to sneak past Fulham at Craven Cottage to go top of the table with a 2-1 victory, going into the final international break of the season.

Sadio Mane and James Milner were the scorers for the Reds, while former Liverpudlian Ryan Babel equalised for the home side to give a massive scare to his former team.

A neat one-two between Roberto Firmino and Mane freed up the latter to score from a few yards out midway through the first half. The Senegalese star, who is bang on form, made no mistake and put the visitors ahead.

Liverpool were comfortable in the game without threatening much, until a maddening moment came 16 minutes from time, as Milner’s sliced clearance forced Virgil van Dijk to react quickly.

However, the centre-back’s header was slightly weak towards Alisson, who made a muddle of the situation and allowed the Fulham man to score into an empty net.

The Reds restored their lead seven minutes later though, when Sergio Rico fouled Mane in the box. Milner stepped up and scored to seal a very important win.
