Liverpool Player Ratings: Manchester United (A)

Liverpool dropped their first two points of the league season as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Manchester United away at Old Trafford.

This result keeps the Reds at the top of the table, but their lead has been trimmed to six points. Marcus Rashford and Adam Lallana were the scorers in the game.

After a cagey start that favoured the home side, United took the lead in the 36th minute when Daniel James found Rashford with a perfect cross for the latter to finish.

The goal was scored via a counter-attack, but it was clear that Divock Origi was fouled by Victor Lindelof in the build-up. The sad part was that both the referee and VAR didn’t give the foul.

Liverpool came back into in the second half and got their deserved equaliser late on when an Andy Robertson cross went all the way at the back post for Lallana to tap in
