Liverpool Player Ratings: Shrewsbury (A)

Liverpool blew a two-goal lead against Shrewsbury Town and allowed the League One side to force an FA Cup fourth round replay on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp’s men were 2-0 up in the early minutes of the second half, but a spirited comeback by the home side left the Reds disappointed.

After a fairly dominant start to the game, as expected, the Premier League leaders took the lead in the 15th minute, when Curtis Jones was played in by Pedro Chirivella.

The former composed himself before slotting the ball into the back of the net.

The lead was doubled seconds into the second half, when a Neco Williams cross was turned into his own net by Donald Love.

The home side won a penalty in the 65th minute, although replays suggested VAR would have overturned the decision, as the foul was made outside the box.

Jason Cummings stepped up and put his team back into the tie, and 10 minutes later, he calmly slotted past Adrian to send the Shrewsbury faithful into a frenzy.

It means Liverpool have come away with an extra game in their schedule, of which Klopp won’t take charge and no senior player will be involved.

Here’s how we rated the players after the game…
