Liverpool Power Rankings: GW5

Liverpool made it five wins out of five in the Premier League on Saturday, following a 3-1 comeback victory over Newcastle United at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp’s men are now five points clear at the top of the Premier League – no team has had that lead just five games into a Premier League season.

Jetro Willems fired Newcastle in front, but Sadio Mane got the Reds level and then gave them the lead just before half-time.

Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino combined superbly for a beautiful second half goal, completing the Reds’ win in the process.

Each Monday moving forward, we will be selecting Liverpool’s five best performers from the previous weekend.

As the season progresses, we will continue to work out who sits in the top five overall, determining who the Reds’ most influential and consistent individuals are.

Firmino took top spot in the Power Rankings for the first time in gameweek four – before then, Mane and Salah had been trading places at the top of the list.

Here’s who tops the pile after gameweek five, going into Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Napoli.
