It was a successful game week eight for Jurgen Klopp’s men. The Reds first beat Salzburg 4-3 at Anfield on Wednesday night and followed that up with a dramatic 2-1 win over Leicester to remain top of the Premier League.
Joel Matip made his way into the power rankings last week and also claimed the PFA Player of the Month for September. However, the Cameroonian did not play against Salzburg or Leicester through injury.
Andy Robertson and James Milner both got on the scoresheet this week trying to force their way into the power rankings for the first time this year.
Mo Salah broke his three-game scoring drought with a pair against Salzburg. Sadio Mane remains Liverpool’s top scorer though, he scored his eighth against the Foxes.
