With the Champions League group stages drawing to a close, Liverpool will be hoping to continue their recent strong form.
Sevilla stand in Liverpool’s way and I will be predicting the side Jurgen Klopp will start with in Seville on Tuesday night…
Loris Karius:
Karius has started in all of the Champions League games so far and I cannot see Klopp changing this on Tuesday. He may have a busy night in Seville.
Joe Gomez:
Trent Alexander-Arnold started and impressed against Southampton at the weekend. I personally believe it’s likely that Gomez was being rested and will come back into the team. Gomez has been playing very well lately for club and country.
Dejan Lovren:
With news of Joel Matip’s injury recently, Klopp doesn’t have too much choice when it comes to picking centre-backs. Lovren performed well on Saturday and I cannot see anything but the Croatian international keeping his place.

Ragnar Klavan:
Like Lovren, Klavan put in a solid performance on Saturday. He looked very composed on the ball which has been one of my criticisms of Klavan’s performances in the past.
Alberto Moreno:
Moreno will be eager to get out there and perform well against his old side. The Spanish full-back came through the youth ranks at Sevilla and made his first-team debut for the side back in 2011. Moreno has been in great form for the Reds recently and has managed to make the left-back spot his own, after much doubt.
Jordan Henderson:
The captain is almost a definite starter now he’s back to full fitness. Henderson was one of the better players against Southampton at the weekend. His energy in midfield could be crucial in Liverpool achieving a good result.
Gini Wijnaldum:
Similarly to Henderson, Wijnaldum’s running is massive in big away games. Wijnaldum had a very good game in Liverpool’s win over Southampton at the weekend.

Philippe Coutinho:
Coutinho looked back to his scintillating best at the weekend. In a tight game like this, it’s often Coutinho who shows his magic.
Sadio Mane:
Mane wasn’t at his best on Saturday but still played well. He was brought off late on and I think Klopp was saving his legs for this game. He’s so important to this side but is without a goal for a while. Hopefully the Senegalese international can return to scoring form in this game.
Mohamed Salah:
The man of the moment. Salah’s been absolutely amazing since making the switch to Merseyside in the summer. He’s a guarantee to start this game. Salah scored in the reverse fixture at Anfield and, hopefully, he can do so again.

Roberto Firmino:
Firmino also scored in the reverse fixture at Anfield. Firmino offers so much to this side and with Salah’s superb form recently, he hasn’t been relied on to score as much. His pressing and tireless running for the side makes him one of the first names on the team sheet.
