Liverpool ready to make £70m Keita offer

Liverpool are set to increase their offer for RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita to £70m.

According to The Mirror, Liverpool have not been deterred by their previous bid that was rejected by the Bundesliga club.

The report claims that Liverpool have already had an offer of £66m turned down but are set to come back as they look to land their number one midfield target.

The Mirror say, despite talk of a £70m bid, Liverpool will make a final decision on Keita next week.

Leipzig are keen to retain Keita for next season but Liverpool will hope to tempt them into selling this summer.

The German outfit – owned by Red Bull – finished second in the table last season, earning themselves qualification for the Champions League.

They will be hoping that is enough to secure Keita’s future for another season after the 22-year-old played a pivotal role in their success.
