Liverpool scouts are rumoured to be monitoring Villarreal’s impressive winger Samuel Chukwueze, according to Goal.
The Nigerian winger has become a regular starter for the Liga side so far this season, playing in their first three league games.
His first goal of the season came on the opening day against Granada, in what proved to be a thrilling 4-4 draw.
Chukwueze’s performances in Spain over the past 12 months have seen him compared to Dutch great Arjen Robben, which is high praise.
His pace and trickery in attacking wide areas make him a constant threat to defences, much like Robben was for over a decade in Europe, most notably during his Bayern Munich days.
With reports suggesting that the 20-year-old may not be at Villarreal for much longer, speculation has begun over his next destination.
Liverpool have been put into the rumour mill surrounding Chukwueze’s next destination, as Jurgen Klopp continues to eye up potential new faces.

With Liverpool’s front three of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino all in their prime, it is unlikely that any of them will lose their starting berth any time soon.
Klopp and his recruitment team will certainly be looking to the future, however, and Chukwueze is an ideal candidate to come in.
Rhian Brewster looks to be a player that Klopp adores, and could well be given a chance to prove his worth at Anfield in future years, but there will also need to be external recruitment to continue Liverpool’s long-term development.
Chukwueze is a raw talent that could flourish under a world-class manager – there is plenty of work to be done to ensure that he fulfills his potential, but Liverpool will be keeping a watchful eye on him this season.
