Liverpool haven’t given up hope of signing Real Madrid superstar Marco Asensio, report OK Diario.
The Reds were linked with a vast £160million bid for the Spain international during the summer, but nothing came of it in the end.
Despite this, their interest reportedly remains genuine, even though Asensio’s form for Madrid has been questioned this season.
The forward has only managed two goals in 18 appearances but Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda doesn’t believe that has changed Jurgen Klopp’s thought process:

This year, an offer of 180m euros [£160m] came to Liverpool’s Real Madrid for Asensio.
The club said no because Cristiano left, but Klopp is in love with the player and will go for the player next summer.
Seen as arguably the most exciting Spanish player of his generation, Asensio would be an unbelievable signing for Liverpool.

Despite his struggles this season, it seems unlikely that Madrid would allow such a world-renowned young talent to leave, though.
Asensio already has two Champions League titles to his name, and a La Liga crown, scoring 23 times in 109 matches for the reigning European Champions.
