Liverpool suffer disappointment over Vrsaljko

Sime Vrsalijko,  transfer target for Liverpool, has been ruled out of leaving the club when the transfer window opens next month, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

His current club Atletico Madrid remain insistent that the full-back will remain at the club and is going nowhere.

The player can play on both full-back positions and would have been the perfect accusation for the reds with doubts over their current players in this area.

There has been a lot of interest in the player of late with Italian high fliers Napoli also showing that they are keen on the player.

Atletico’s director of football Andrea Berta has spoken to the Reds about the player and remains stubborn about them keeping the player in the long-term.

The quality of the player is clear for all to see although he has featured just 16 times since joining the club in 2016 from Sassuolo.

He has also represented his country Croatia on 27 occasions across his career.
