Prior to the start of this season, Pep Guardiola’s stock could not have been higher.
The Spaniard was working wonders at Manchester City, turning them into arguably the greatest British club side of all time.
Cracks have started to appear this season, however, with City already losing four times in the Premier League and falling 14 points adrift of Liverpool.
Following Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at home to Manchester United, Guardiola produced some bizarre comments regarding his team’s standing in the game:
Liverpool, United, Barcelona, Madrid, Juventus. They are the teams we have to face and the reality is maybe we are not able now to compete with them.
These Liverpool supporters have mocked the City boss on Twitter, proving how nonsensical his comments are.
Guardiola:
“Liverpool, United, Barcelona, Madrid, Juventus. They are the teams we have to face and the reality is maybe we are not able now to compete with them.”

If that is a genuine quote then it's showing up to not be a top manager, but just a charlatan that can manage when he has a monster budget. Klopp managing what he has with his spend is proper management.

He's tiptoeing towards the door saying stuff like this, he obviously wants the pay off and a new challenge.

He’s under massive pressure to win the CL and rightly so.

Read Liverpool Verdict
It is incredible how Guardiola has the audacity to suggest his team don’t have the same level of resources as others.
They have a higher net spend than anybody else and he has been willing to spend big money at every opportunity.
They are the words of a manager who finds himself increasingly under pressure, with some questioning him for the first time.
All is not well with the champions and their manager is not covering himself in glory.
