Liverpool target Lanzini set to be offered new deal

West Ham are set to offer Liverpool target Manuel Lanzini a new long-term contract in an attempt to fight off interest from other Premier League clubs.

According to The Evening Standard, West Ham will begin contract talks with Lanzini once their Premier League status is secure.

Lanzini’s current deal expires in two years time, but West Ham are keen to further extend that to make sure of his future at the club.

The report claims that Liverpool have shown an interest in the midfielder and could look to sign him as a replacement for Philippe Coutinho in the summer, following on from his mega-money move to Barcelona in January.

Lanzini has been one of West Ham’s standout performers this season and David Moyes is keen for him to stick around next season.

He is currently earning £35k-per-week, with that set for a sizeable increase in any new contract, though Liverpool would certainly be able to offer him considerably more.

Jurgen Klopp is interested in the playmaker and wants to add him to his squad for next season.
