The 22-year-old has had another fine season at the club making a total of 28 appearances to date scoring one goal and playing a key role for the team in the Bundesliga.

He has come through the ranks at the club and looks set to secure his first move away to the club in a deal which would show a lot of intent from Liverpool with Milan now priced out of the deal.

The midfielder would compliment fellow Bundesliga player Naby Keita who is set to join the reds in the summer from RB Leipzig.
