Liverpool entertain Newcastle United at home on Saturday in a match that means much more to the away side than the hosts.
With the Reds’ sights firmly set on the Europa League semi-final first leg away at Villarreal next week, Newcastle know that the game is more or less a must win if they have any chance of remaining in the Premier League next season.
The game also sees a return for former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez to the club where he lifted the Champions League in 2005 – but how times have changed for the former Real Madrid boss.
With the Europa League in mind, Jurgen Klopp may feel the need to rest some of his main players much like against Bournemouth, in order to keep them fresh for a trip to El Madrigal.
Newcastle will be looking to take advantage of any possible inexperience in the Reds’ team but as proven on the south coast last weekend, the kids can mix it in the Premier League.
