No team in the Premier League has as many players on the treatment table currently as Liverpool do.
The Reds have been plagued with casualties all season, which may have contributed to manager Jurgen Klopp’s decision to have a look at some young players that have been out on loan this term.
There may also be an element of regret that the likes of Lazar Markovic, Andre Wisdom and Tiago Ilori were allowed to leave temporarily. (Perhaps not Mario Balotelli!).
