Loan Watch: How did Liverpool’s loan players fare at the weekend?

Liverpool continued their undefeated run in the Premier League after International break with a 3-0 victory over Watford.

Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Roberto Firmino found the back of the net in that game, but let’s see how the players out on loan did.

Danny Ings – Southampton

Ings did not feature in Southampton’s 3-2 defeat to Fulham due to the hamstring injury he sustained in the previous game.

Aleksandar Mitrovic (2) and Andre Schurrle scored for Fulham and Stuart Armstrong netted twice for the Saints.

Southampton moved down to 18th place in the Premier League and into the relegation zone.

Harry Wilson – Derby County

Wilson played left wing for Derby for the full game and scored a lovely volley to equalise for the Rams in a 2-1 victory over Sheffield Wednesday.

Adam Reach got the goal for the homeside and Jack Marriot got the winner for Derby and they remained in 6th place in the Championship despite the win.

Ben Woodburn – Sheffield United

Woodburn didn’t make the bench for Sheffield United as they drew 2-2 away at Rotherham.

Mark Duffy and Chris Basham got the goals for Sheffield and Jon Taylor and Jamie Proctor got the goals for Rotherham.

Despite the point the Blades moved down to 5th place in the Championship.

Ryan Kent & Ovie Ejaria – Rangers

Kent didn’t feature in the game due to a hamstring injury he sustained in the previous match and Ejaria played 80 minutes before being replaced by Lassana Coulibaly in central midfield.

Rangers beat Livingston 3-0 at Ibrox with Daniel Candeias, Alfredo Morelos and Scott Arfield getting the goals.

Rangers moved up to second place in the SPL – level on 24 points with leaders Celtic.

Adam Bogdan – Hibernian

Bogdan played the full game in goal but conceded two in a 2-2 draw at home to Dundee FC.

Genseric Kusunga and Ryan Porteous scored for Hibs and Kenny Miller and Paul McGowan scored for Dundee.

Bogdan also got a yellow card for Hibs in the 94th minute and they moved up to 7th place in the SPL thanks to the point.

Loris Karius – Besiktas

Karius played the full game in goal in a 4-1 victory over Ankaragucu with Adam Ljajic, Mustafa Pektemek, Guven Yalcin and Oguzhan Ozyakup scoring for Besiktas.

Moestafa El Kabir scored for the homeside and Beiktas moved up to 4th place in the Turkish Super Lig.

Sheyi Ojo – Stade Reims

Ojo was an unused substitute as Reims beat EA Guingamp 2-1 at home.

Xavier Chavalerin and Boulaye Dia scored for the homeside and Marcus Thuram got the goal for Guingamp.

Reims moved up to 8th place in Ligue 1.

Marko Grujic – Hertha Berlin

Grujic returned to the starting eleven for Berlin after his injury and played CDM in a 4-2-3-1 as Berlin drew 3-3 with Hoffenheim at home.

Vedad Ibisevic, Matthew Leckie and Valentino Lazaro got the goals for Berlin and Kerem Demirbay, Andrej Kramaric and Ermin Bicakcic got the goals for Hoffenheim.

Despite the point Berlin remained in 8th place in the Bundesliga.

Allan Souza – Eintracht Frankfurt

Allan didn’t make the bench in Frankfurt’s 3-1 victory away at Augsburg with Jonathon de Guzman, Sebastien Haller and Ante Rebic finding the back of the net.

Sergio Cordova got the goal for Augsburg and Frankfurt moved up to 3rd place in the Bundesliga.
