Loan Watch: How did Liverpool’s loan players fare at the weekend?

Liverpool were victorious at the Vitality, beating Bournemouth 4-0 as a Mohamed Salah hat-trick (and a Steve Cook own goal) sent the Reds to the top of the Premier League.

Let’s see how the players out on loan did this week.

Danny Ings – Southampton

Ings remains out injured for Southampton as they were beaten 1-0 away from home by Cardiff City.

Makeshift striker Callum Paterson scored the only goal of that game and the Saints are sitting in 19th place in the Premier League.

Harry Wilson – Derby County

Wilson played 72 minutes at right wing for Derby before being replaced by Florian Jozefzoon – the Welshman also picked up a yellow card.

Derby beat Wigan 1-0 away from with Jack Marriott scoring the goal of that game which sent Derby up to fourth place in the Championship.

Ben Woodburn – Sheffield United

Woodburn was again absent from the match-day squad as Sheffield United beat Reading 2-0 away from home.

Billy Sharp and a Sam Baldock own goal was enough for the Blades and they moved up to third place in the Championship.

Ryan Kent & Ovie Ejaria – Rangers

Kent made his return for Rangers and played the first half before being replaced by Glenn Middleton on the wing.

Ejaria came on in the 70th minute for Andy Halliday as Rangers drew 1-1 away from home against 10 men Dundee.

Former Ger Kenny Miller scored the goal for Dundee and Halliday scored for Rangers and despite the point, Steven Gerrard’s men remained in second place in the SPL – two points behind leaders Celtic.

Adam Bogdan – Hibernian

Bogdan was dropped to the bench with Ofir Marciano preferred in goal, as Hibs beat Hamilton 1-0 away from home.

Oli Shaw scored the only goal of the game and despite the victory, Hibs remained in eighth place in the SPL.

Loris Karius – Besiktas

Karius played the full game in goal and kept a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw away from home against Alanyaspor.

Besiktas moved down to fourth place in the Turkish Super Lig after the draw.

Sheyi Ojo – Stade Reims

Ojo was absent from the match-day squad as Reims drew 1-1 with Lille away from home.

Nicolas Pepe scored for Lille and Remi Oudin got the goal for Reims – the point meant that they stayed in 11th place in Ligue 1.

Marko Grujic – Hertha Berlin & Allan Souza – Eintracht Frankfurt

Grujic was on target for Berlin in a 1-0 win at home over Allan’s Frankfurt. He played the full game at defensive midfield in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Allan did not feature in the squad for Frankfurt and Berlin moved up to sixth place in the Bundesliga while Frankfurt remained in fifth place.
