Look no Further Than Liverpool for Premier League Success this Season

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are on a mission this season and they have one main objective: the Premier League title. The Reds haven’t been crowned champions of England for more than two decades now but this could be Liverpool’s time to finally get their hands back on the top flight crown.

On current form, it is very difficult to argue against Klopp’s men; the Reds are currently second in the table – just one point behind early leaders Chelsea. And while the Blues have leant on solid defensive displays throughout the last month, Liverpool have opted for a very different strategy.

They often say that attack is the best form of defence and that certainly sums up Liverpool’s season. Without question, Klopp has built one of the most dangerous offensive units in England and the Roberto Firmino – Sadio Mane – Daniel Sturridge trio are looking potent in attack.

In fact, many believe that Liverpool’s front three are bettered across Europe only by those of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Barcelona; a belief that says a lot about just how talented these three players are. They already have 11 league goals between them this season and fans will be expecting a few more between now and the end of the campaign…

It is beginning to look like injuries are the only possible hitch to Liverpool’s title plans and fans will be praying that instrumental midfielder Philippe Coutinho isn’t side-lined for a prolonged spell.

The Brazilian suffered a serious-looking knock in the 2-0 victory over David Moyes’ Sunderland and was carried off on a stretcher; although Klopp has revealed that it perhaps isn’t as bad as first feared. Coutinho makes Liverpool tick and the Reds may struggle to adapt to life without their main creative talent.

Defensively, Liverpool are still a bit inconsistent but they have improved since Klopp took charge of the Anfield hot seat. The German cares not for pragmatic, stagnant football but he knows just how important a reliable back four can be; especially in England.

The Reds have conceded 14 goals this season, more than all of their main title rivals, but summer signing Loris Karius is a competent shot stopper and he will only get better with age and experience.

Liverpool are on an 11-match unbeaten run in the league and Klopp will be working hard to keep his players motivated ahead of the busy festive period. The Reds, priced at 10/3 to win the title in Paddy Power’s football odds markets, could finish the calendar year at the top of the tree if they are able to successfully navigate a hectic schedule.

The title is certainly within the realms of possibility for Liverpool this year and Klopp knows it. The Anfield faithful will almost certainly accept a top four finish and Champions League football but the German has got fans dreaming of a title success once again.

With a bit of luck on the injury front and a signing or two in January, Liverpool could get the job done after a few near misses in recent times.
