James Maddison would be an excellent signing by Liverpool, as he continues to impress as a player.
The 22-year-old scored for Leicester City at Anfield on Saturday, almost denying the Reds a crucial three points.
He looked a threat throughout the afternoon, once again showing how much quality he possesses.
Speaking on Stadium Astro, former Liverpool midfielder Steve McMahon believes the Reds could pip rivals Manchester United to the signing of Maddison:
I think Maddison has another level to go. I think there’s a top team, if it’s not Liverpool then United maybe, they’ll be in for him. He can only get better.
Jurgen loves up and at them players, 100 per cent, non-stop work rate. He knows his full backs can create a chance, the space and can go for an overlap.
I don’t see Maddison sitting on the bench [at a big club]. Say he comes to Liverpool, I’m not telling James Maddison to leave, but if I’m Klopp I would be looking to sign a player.

Some English players are needlessly over-hyped by the media, eventually failing to reach the heights predicted of them.
United striker Marcus Rashford is a perfect example of that currently.
Maddison is the real deal, though, and looks like a player who will be a regular for England in the near future.
Not only does he have the work-rate that Jurgen Klopp demands in his players, but he is also more technical than some of Liverpool’s current midfielders.
He is being used in a more attacking role at Leicester currently, showcasing his versatility in the process, too.
Maddison’s potential is great, and if the Reds do manage to sign him, it would be a significant piece of business.
