Manchester United are interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen star and Liverpool target Kai Havertz, according to The Guardian.
The 20-year-old has become a key man for the Bundesliga side, scoring 33 goals since making his debut in 2016.
Havertz has been linked with Liverpool this season, but it appears as though there will be competition for his signature.
United are believed to be ‘eyeing up’ the £81 million-rated attacking midfielder, ahead of a potential move to Old Trafford.

United’s rumoured interest in Havertz could be a possible blow to Liverpool, although the two clubs are suffering very different fortunes currently.
In the past, Old Trafford was the place to move to in England, as they dominated under Alex Ferguson.
The Reds are now leading the way in the Premier League, however, also enjoying their status as world and European champions.
Havertz has the potential to be an exceptional signing for Liverpool, in my opinion – someone who could bring something different to the Reds’ current midfield options. The Germany international has averaged 2.3 key passes per game in the Bundesliga this season, whereas Fabinho (0.9), Jordan Henderson (1.0) and Gini Wijnaldum (0.3) have averaged noticeably fewer in the league.
The likes of Fabinho and Henderson are fantastic in terms of their industry, both attempting more tackles per game than the German, but Havertz could bring more creative magic.
