Manchester United have received a boost in their efforts to sign Emre Can in January, according to Tuttosport, via the Daily Mail.
Liverpool’s most bitter rivals have been linked with the German in recent months, following a disappointing spell at Juventus.
Can opted to move to Italy at the end of the 2017/18 season, but he has struggled for regular playing time.
The Serie A giants are believed to be willing to let him leave in January, with United hoping to bring him to Old Trafford.
Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also seen as potential suitors for the 25-year-old.

If Can does ended up opting to join United, many Liverpool supporters will lose a huge amount of respect for him.
You only have to look at how Michael Owen is now viewed by some fans to see how frowned upon moving to the Reds’ adversaries is.
Given United’s current struggles, it wouldn’t even be a good move for Can, with no Champions League football at Old Trafford and numerous problems both on and off the pitch.
