Sadio Mane has been urged to join Barcelona or Real Madrid this summer, by his former mentor Mady Toure.
Toure established Generation Foot in Senegal back in 2000, with Mane joining the academy as a youngster.
He has since matured into a world-renowned footballer, becoming one of the key figures of the Jurgen Klopp era at Liverpool.
Speaking to the Guardian, Toure claims now is the time for Mane to move to either Barca or Madrid, however:
The fact Sadio has won the African Ballon d’Or will spur him on to win the European one too.
That’s his objective. Sadio always told me he would become one of the best players in the world.
He said that to me and now he is among them but he has to leave Liverpool now.
It’s his last year and he has to leave Liverpool when it’s up to go to Barcelona or Real Madrid.

While the appeal of playing for either Spanish giant is obvious, I don’t see why Mane would want to leave Liverpool.
They are the best team in the world at the moment, in my opinion, and he is adored by the supporters.
Whereas in the past, the Reds were something of a stepping stone club, they are now the envy of Europe.
I don’t believe Mane will leave Liverpool – if anything, I think Mohamed Salah is more likely to move on, in order to grow his brand further and earn one more huge transfer in his prime.
The Senegalese’s contract doesn’t expire until 2023, so it would take an extraordinary bid to prise him away from Anfield.
