Kylian Mbappe has refused to discuss the possibility of signing a new deal at Paris Saint-Germain.
The 21-year-old is one of the best players in the world currently, recently being named the most valuable footballer on the planet by CIES Football Observatory.
Liverpool have been loosely linked with a sensational summer move for the striker by the Telegraph, although no concrete interest has appeared yet.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Mbappe was coy about whether or not he would extend his stay in Paris:
I simply want to play football and focus on the season.
It is January, it’s the start of the final sprint where there are titles to play for. Therefore it’s not the moment to make waves.

If Liverpool managed to get a deal for Mbappe over the line, I believe it would be the most exciting signing they have made in the Premier League era.
The France international is a once-in-a-generation talent, already scoring 110 career goals despite his tender age, and he could take the Reds to an even higher level.
We would see it as a huge surprise if the move happened, though, such would be Mbappe’s wage demands and the transfer fee PSG would want for him.
I think a possible deal for Mbappe could see Liverpool break both their transfer and wage records, which could then cause issues with current players’ salaries in the process.
We feel as though Liverpool can now compete for most players these days, however, Mbappe could prove too expensive.
