Liverpool midfielder and vice-captain James Milner has given Jurgen Klopp and the club’s supporters some good news after revealing he is in contention to return for the trip to the Etihad Stadium, where they face Manuel Pellegrini’s Manchester City.
Milner missed Liverpool’s most recent Premier League tie, a 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace, due to a hamstring injury and despite being called up to the England squad for the friendlies against Spain and France respectively, he was made to withdraw in order to focus on his recovery process.
The former Manchester City midfielder admitted his disappointment at missing the opportunity to feature for club and country but provided some positive news, saying he should be ‘alright’ for the club’s next fixture.

“It’s always disappointing to miss any games – and obviously missing last weekend and the England games is disappointing,” he told Liverpoolfc.com.
“It shouldn’t be too long and hopefully I’ll be back for the next game, but we’ll have to wait and see.
“You never like to put a timeframe on it because it’s a hamstring and they’re always difficult and a bit unpredictable, but hopefully I’ll be alright.”

Liverpool next’s game is the Premier League tie on November 21 when they face Milner’s ex-side, and the England international will be hoping to play his part in earning a much-needed three points.
