Liverpool lost once again in Europe as Paris-Saint Germain got the better of them at the Parc-des-Princes, winning the game 2-1. Juan Bernat and Neymar scored the goals to put the home side two goals up in the first-half.
Sadio Mane then won a penalty right on the stroke of half-time, which was converted coolly by James Milner. After the break, the Reds had most of the ball but they weren’t able to create many chances to trouble Gianluigi Buffon’s goal.
On the face of it, it was a disappointing loss for Jurgen Klopp’s men who now go into the final matchday with loads of pressure on their shoulders. Napoli won their game against Red Star, meaning Liverpool have to beat the Italian opponents either 1-0 or by a two-goal margin at Anfield two weeks from now.
There were some sleepy performances from the away side players.
