Former West Ham and Everton boss David Moyes claims that the current Liverpool side isn’t as good as some that he’s faced in the past.
According to The Liverpool Echo, Moyes made the statement on ‘Goals on Sunday’, saying that Jurgen Klopp has a very strong team, but compared it to previous squads Liverpool have had.
The Reds recorded their sixth consecutive Premier League win as they comfortably defeated Southampton 3-0 on Saturday, to achieve their most successful start to a top flight season.

Liverpool have built a very solid team for this season, with quality in all areas. A sold back line is complemented by a formidable attack and midfield, which makes them look like potential title candidates for this campaign.
Despite this, Moyes thinks the Anfield club have had a better crop of players in the past, saying:
I think they’ve got a really good team but I look back at the Liverpool teams I’ve played against over the years and they had great teams.
“When it was Alonso and Mascherano and Gerrard with Torres up front, just the boys they had – Liverpool had great teams.
“This is a good Liverpool team as well but I don’t know if it is quite as good as that team at that time but I think they are playing with a good style – they’ve got forward players who are exceptional and that makes them a real threat.
