There is no reason for concern surrounding Liverpool’s performance at Sheffield United, with the Reds simply not hitting top gear for once.
Speaking to talkSPORT, former Liverpool man Danny Murphy believes Jurgen Klopp will be worried about the display of his side at Bramall Lane, despite their 1-0 win:
He’ll be a little bit disappointed with the performance. I think he will be a bit concerned.”
When you are a top team and you’re having the success Liverpool are having, you play sometimes in a comfort zone; what I mean by that is, you’re playing Sheffield United away and you start the game a bit lackadaisical, thinking ‘we’re better than these’ and with a ‘we only have to turn up’ type attitude.”
But you can’t keep doing that and getting away with it.

This is typical knee-jerk punditry from Murphy, who is trying to create a mountain out of a molehill.
Liverpool were clearly below-par against the Blades, but Chris Wilder’s side should be praised for making life extremely tough for the European champions.
On top of that, had Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah buried three huge chances between them, Klopp’s men would have won comfortably on the day.
Liverpool are not playing in a comfort zone whatsoever, contrary to Murphy’s opinion – they simply didn’t play at their best in a game, which happens numerous times a season to any great side.
Does the performance need to improve against Salzburg and Leicester City this week? Absolutely. Is it an issue? Not in the slightest.
