Oxlade-Chamberlain mocks Alexander-Arnold after scoring stunning free-kick

Oxlade-Chamberlain mocks Alexander-Arnold after scoring stunning free-kick

Trent Alexander-Arnold has gained a reputation for a being something of a free-kick master.

The Liverpool star’s first-ever senior goal for the Reds was an inch-perfect free-kick away to Hoffenheim, and he hasn’t stopped there.

A stunning hit at Watford last season also stands out, as the 21-year-old has continued to showcase his technical brilliance.

Someone who is seemingly providing competition in the free-kick stakes for Alexander-Arnold is good friend Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

A clip of the midfielder curling home a sublime effort in training has emerged online, courtesy of The Redmen TV on Twitter:

Oxlade-Chamberlain doesn’t remain quiet after finding the net, however, strutting towards the camera and mocking Alexander-Arnold.

The 26-year-old says that his teammates is “done out here”, suggesting he is superior at free-kicks.

It is a brilliant clip, and one that further highlights both the team spirit and level of competitiveness that is present in this Reds squad.

This clip will hopefully only spur on the famously competitive Alexander-Arnold to fire home a beauty in Liverpool’s next game, away to Norwich City in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
