Player ratings: Liverpool 4-1 Stoke City

Liverpool got back to winning ways in the Premier League with a comfortable 4-1 triumph over Stoke City.

The Reds have beaten Stoke at the Britannia Stadium, broken their hearts in the Capital One Cup semi-final, and now thumped them at Anfield. That should be enough to be deemed revenge for the 6-1 pummelling that the Potters gave Liverpool last May.

Sheyi Ojo started his first game for Jurgen Klopp’s men and made a positive impression, showing terrific skill, vision and execution to set up Daniel Sturridge for his seventh goal this season.

That was after Alberto Moreno had hit a cracking opener, and Bojan Krkic had levelled for the visitors.

The second half was the Divock Origi show. The big Belgian can do no wrong at the moment, unlike his compatriot Christian Benteke, who looked to have had enough of watching from the stands after around 70 minutes.
