It’s been described as ‘El Kloppico’. On Thursday evening, Jurgen Klopp, now Liverpool manager, returns to his old club Borussia Dortmund ahead of the Reds’ Europa League quarter-final first leg at the Signal Iduna Park in Germany.
Liverpool face one of Europe’s sternest tests in Dortmund, against a side who were Champions League finalists in 2013 and have one of the most sought-after strikers in world football in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and amongst other big names such as Mats Hummels and Marco Reus.
The objective for the game from a Liverpool perspective is to restrict Dortmund as much as possible and perhaps knick an away goal.
Good news for Liverpool fans is that star Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino has travelled to Germany, with Jurgen Klopp saying that he hopes Firmino can make the bench after struggling with injury.
We predict which team Klopp will go with, based on previous selections and form.
