PSG join Liverpool in race to land Malcom from West Brom

PSG have joined Liverpool, among other clubs, in the race to land West Brom Jovan Malcom in the January transfer window.

According to Football Insider, PSG are the latest team to be tracking Malcom as he continues to impress for West Brom at under-18 level.

He has scored 11 goals in 10 games for the Baggies this season, with Liverpool, PSG, Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester CIty all said to be keen on the forward.

READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Liverpool are always looking to plan for the future and trying to invest in their academy. You can see this in the signing of Harvey Elliott from Fulham – snapping up a promising young talent and exposing him to the first-team environment in the hope that he develops quickly.

Malcom is clearly a talent, given his goal record and the teams who are watching him, so it would be a coup for the Reds to snap him up. Liverpool are a huge pull in Europe and, with their Premier League lead at the top and their recent Champions League success, they have a good claim to being the best team in the world. This should give them an advantage when trying to sign players ahead of other top clubs in the world.
