Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is also being considered, but the aforementioned pair are their preferred choices.
Mane has become a modern-day legend at Liverpool, scoring 77 goals in 161 Reds appearances.
Few players have been more integral under Jurgen Klopp, with the 27-year-old taking Liverpool up a level after joining from Southampton in 2016.

The thought of losing Mane should be a terrifying one for Reds supporters, with the Senegalese among the world’s best players in the last 12 months. He finished fourth in the Ballon d’Or vote back in December, summing up his brilliance.
On paper, I think Haaland feels like a more logical signing for Madrid, however, which could hopefully benefit Liverpool. The Borussia Dortmund striker represents a long-term option compared to Mane – he is 19 and the Liverpool forward is 27 – and for Real Madrid, a central striker is a more pressing issue, with Karim Benzema now approaching the latter stages of his career at 32.
Mane appears extremely happy at Liverpool, too – given their status as the world’s best club side, so why would he want to leave?
