James Milner thinks Harvey Elliott can go “right to the top”, according to former Liverpool star Jamie Redknapp.
The 16-year-old was the Reds’ standout player on Tuesday night, as they lost 5-0 at Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup.
Elliott looked a cut above most of his teammates, showing great quality throughout the evening.
The forward is seen as one of English football’s brightest prospects and Milner has clearly been impressed by what he has seen.
Speaking after the game, Redknapp revealed what the Reds veteran told him about Elliott’s potential:
This kid has got special talent. 16-years of age, nice left foot, he’s got great vision.
He is one, and I know James Milner thinks the same because I spoke to him earlier, who could go right to the top.

Elliott is a special talent – that was clear from the moment he made his debut against MK Dons earlier in the season.
Much like Manchester City hopeful Phil Foden, he possesses a beautiful left foot and an ability to drift inside and wreak havoc.
It may take time for Elliott to work his way into the first-team setup on a regular basis, but he looks like a future superstar at Anfield.
