Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has said that his side will need to be at their best if they are to get a result in Sunday’s Merseyside derby.
In a report from The Belfast Telegraph, Mignolet feels that a rejuvenated Everton will give them a tough match at Anfield.
Everton are without a win at Anfield since 1999, and haven’t won a derby match in 13 attempts.
Since Sam Allardyce’s arrival on Merseyside, the Toffees have hit some kind of form, winning their last three matches in all competitions. Nine goals have been scored, and none conceded since their 4-1 humiliation at Southampton in November.

Liverpool however, are on a different level. Their 7-0 thumping of Spartak Moscow in the Champions League made in 32 goals in their last nine games in all competitions, with their front four all in top form, with Mignolet insisting that this must continue.
We are in a good moment.
We scored five goals away from home against Brighton and seven against Spartak, but this weekend it will be a totally different game.
We have to prove ourselves again to try to win the derby. We’ve always had good results at home against Everton but now the fact Sam Allardyce has just arrived means it will be a different fixture.
