Results: Liverpool fans vote for MOTM v Everton

Even though Everton failed to turn up at Anfield on Wednesday night, Liverpool were still magnificent to a man (except for Simon Mignolet, but that’s not his fault).

It was plain sailing for the Reds from about 15 minutes onwards. The Toffees started fairly well, and carved out a decent chance for Romelu Lukaku who was thwarted by the excellent Mamadou Sakho before he could get a shot away.

And from that point, Roberto Martinez’s side barely had a kick. They had three touches in Liverpool’s area all game, compared to the Reds’ 64 in theirs.

There won’t have been many more one-sided games in Premier League history. Everton were flattered by the 4-0 scoreline.

There were plenty to choose from in terms of a Man of the Match, and we gave you the chance to decide who it should be using our Duel feature.

Here are the top five, in reverse order, as voted for by you, calculated by the percentage of duels won.

matchday.
