Atletico Madrid’s expected starting line-up has been revealed, with a strong-looking team taking to the field at Anfield.
Liverpool take on the Spanish giants on Wednesday night, in what is a huge Champions League clash.
Atletico won the first leg of the last 16 tie 1-0 last month, thanks to Saul Niguez’s early goal at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Diego Simeone is being tasked with ending Liverpool’s European reign and his 11 players taking to the field have potentially been revealed.
Marca claim that Jan Oblak will start in goal, flanked by Kieran Trippier, Stefan Savic, Felipe and Renan Lodi at the back.
In midfield, a narrow quartet of Koke, Saul, Thomas Partey and Angel Correa is expected, with Joao Felix and Diego Costa leading the line.
That would mean top goalscorer Alvaro Morata misses out, having been an injury doubt earlier this week.
Liverpool will have to be at their best to send Atletico packing, with Simeone’s outfit one of the best-drilled defensive sides in Europe on their day.
