Robertson and Alexander-Arnold continue social media banter

Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold have continued their banter on social media, as the pair keep themselves busy at home.

Liverpool’s players are currently in isolation amidst the outbreak of illness around the world, with no return date set for the Reds at Melwood.

Each individual is on a training programme from home, ensuring they remain sharp for whenever they are back in training.

On Wednesday, Robertson posted a brilliant video of him taking free-kicks in his garden, claiming that he could replace Alexander-Arnold as Liverpool’s primary free-kick taker:

Alexander-Arnold was having none of it, however, producing a swift response to his friend and colleague.

The 21-year-old joked that Robertson’s free-kicks would have hit the wall, downplaying his chances of taking his place.

It is typically amusing sparring between the pair, who share a healthy competitiveness between them.

The duo have an assist competition each season, with Alexander-Arnold currently leading the way with 12 to Robertson’s seven.
