Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson lifted the club’s third piece of silverware in 2019.
The Reds won the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and now the FIFA Club World Cup in a stellar calendar year.

Henderson has been a consistent figure for Jurgen Klopp’s side and full-back Andy Robertson has hailed the skipper. As quoted on the Liverpool Echo, the left-back said:
Hendo, I think, shows what Liverpool is about.
He was magnificent against Flamengo, the best player on the park.
Hendo is underappreciated to some but, in the dressing room, we appreciate everything he does.

You’ve got to agree with Robertson. Henderson was simply outstanding and put in a proper captain’s performance.
He deserves this success because he has been doubted by so many people ever since he joined Liverpool.
His passion, desire and hunger makes his the ideal Liverpool captain and it’s clear to see that all the players in the squad think very highly of him.
