Liverpool have been linked with Fluminense midfielder Evanilson in recent days, with the Brazilian’s current contract expiring in February 2020.
The 20-year-old could move on at that point, especially as his club could generate much-needed funds in the process.
Evanilson is believed to have been watched by Liverpool scouts with the January transfer window looming, although no official bid has been tabled yet.
The youngster has provided an update on the situation, with quotes provided by Sport Witness:
Let’s see. The league is over now. I’ll see with my agent. Let’s sit down with Fluminense’s board and sort the best situation for me.
We’ve been negotiating for a long time. We are seeing what is best. These goals help a lot. I’m waiting to see what will happen. I don’t know. I can’t talk yet.
It’s a club that opened its doors to me. I’m very happy and I really want to stay.

This is a time of year when transfer stories are rife, so it may be that Liverpool’s interest isn’t too genuine.
Evanilson is an exciting player, though, and no Reds supporter would balk at the idea of Jurgen Klopp adding to his squad in January, should the rumour have legs.
The midfielder hasn’t exactly pledged his future to Fluminense and it will be interesting to see if further reports link him with a switch to Anfield in the coming weeks.
