Salah and Mane “deeply dislike each other”, says Keys

Richard Keys has made an astonishing claim about Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, saying the Liverpool pair “deeply dislike each other.”

Salah and Mane have become modern day Reds legends together over the past three seasons, wreaking havoc from out wide.

The African superstars have always appeared to have a strong relationship, even if they haven’t always seen eye-to-eye on the pitch.

Writing on his blog, Keys revealed he thought there was a genuine dislike for one another between Salah and Mane, tipping them both to exit Liverpool:

Don’t believe what they tell you about Mane and Salah not having much time for each other. It’s worse than that. They deeply dislike each other.

Both would be a whole lot happier playing in a team without the other. So – how does that happen? Do Liverpool sell one and keep the other? In an ideal world – yes.

But I’ve got a feeling both could be on their way out.

This is a truly ludicrous statement from Keys, who seems to be attempting to scout controversy for the sake of it.

Sure, Salah and Mane have bickered before, not least when the former didn’t pass to the latter away to Burnley back in August, but they have a firm friendship.

Quite where Keys has got this opinion from remains to be seen, but it appears to have little credence.

Salah and Mane will continue to work their magic alongside each other for the foreseeable future, showing the former Sky Sports presenter why he is so wide of the mark.

It would be a huge surprise if one of them left this summer, let alone both of them.
